Uncrossing
Cutting hexes, jinxes, envy, and inherited residue off your name, body, and household. First line, usually.
Practicing since 1990 · Thornwork since 2014
Uncrossing, thornwork, protection, road-opening, and court cases — cast to written protocols by a Southern folk practitioner who names abuse plainly and treats consequence as craft. No moralism. No Threefold Law. No pastel-witch nonsense.
Two front doors: I cast for you, or I design the ritual and you cast it yourself. Beginners welcome on the design side.

Thornwork is applied pressure. Every case begins with divination, ends with a written record, and pairs the ritual with a mundane-safety checklist — documentation, housing options, legal exits, who to call — because magic works beside those things, not instead of them. It sits on the same table as the case law.

Cutting hexes, jinxes, envy, and inherited residue off your name, body, and household. First line, usually.
II.
Baneful working aimed at a named target's capacity to reach you — access blocked, harm returned, the door shut with iron.
III.
Covered-name wards, household perimeters, and body-level shielding set with court, custody, and stalking cases in mind — worked alongside the safety plan, never as the safety plan.
Dana Batista has practiced folk magic since 1990 and worked specifically in thornwork — baneful, protective, and removal magic — since 2014. A Southern folk witch: Celtic and Norse work by ancestry, initiation, and devotion; Appalachian folk work through her mother; Taíno work by initiation; Santa Muerte by initiation and devotion. Venēnum: A Field Manual for the Baneful Arts is complete and under contract negotiation with Inner Traditions; the press page gets linked the day it is signed. Cited to the dead and the record, not pulled from a shop shelf.
Read the Verification
"I do not sell outcomes. Nobody honest does. What you pay for is skilled ritual work built to your case, documentation of what was done, and the practitioner's word that the craft was set the way I said it would be — thorns, dirt, dead, and all." — Dana Batista, practitioner's oath
Intake
Every working starts with a full intake — situation, target or subject, consent, budget, timeline. The $75 intake is paid up front and non-refundable in all cases; it buys my time reading your case. Divination happens before any ritual. If your case isn't a fit, I say so and no ritual fee is charged.
