Do you guarantee results?

No, and neither does anyone honest. Magic is applied pressure. It changes probability, not physics. What I guarantee is craft integrity — the ritual described in your protocol is the ritual I cast — and full documentation of the working. If I can be shown to have deviated from the protocol without your consent, you get a full refund of the ritual fee.

Is this legal?

Yes, here. Paid divination and ritual services are lawful in North Carolina, and courts have generally treated this work as protected speech. North Carolina's old anti-divination statute (G.S. 14-401.5), which once banned paid fortune-telling in a list of counties that included Moore, was repealed effective August 17, 2004; some websites still list North Carolina as a ban state and are wrong. I do not, will not, and cannot cast any working designed to physically harm, threaten, or defraud a person. I do not accept cases against children. I do not accept vague "curse whoever is bothering me" requests — every working requires a named subject and documented consent from anyone represented in the ritual on your side.

Do I have to be present for the working?

No. All workings can be done at proxy from my working table in North Carolina. For court cases, land-based wards, and specific site work, I may travel or ask you to send a physical object from the location (dirt, water, a piece of the threshold). Every case's requirements are spelled out in the written protocol before you sign off.

Will you cast a love spell on someone specific?

No. Working on a specific person without their consent to alter how they feel about you is not something I do. It is bad craft, it is disrespectful to their sovereignty, and in my experience it tends to boomerang. I will do road-opening for a new relationship, work on your own confidence and clarity, or a heart-opening working aimed at you — never at a target.

Will you kill someone for me?

No. Death work is not on my table, ever, and any practitioner offering it for a fee is either lying to you or dangerous or both. I will not entertain the request, even in intake.

What if my case involves domestic violence or stalking?

I take these cases, and I take them seriously. Every working is paired with a documentation checklist — police reports, protective orders, screenshots — because magic works alongside mundane safety, never instead of it. The checklist is what survivors have told me helped; it is not legal advice and it is not a safety plan. An advocate builds the plan: the National Domestic Violence Hotline is 1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788. Sliding-scale pricing is available for survivors on the ritual fee. Before you pay anything, read What shows up on my bank statement? below. If your case exceeds my capacity or requires resources I can't provide, I'll refer you to a domestic violence advocacy line — the intake fee has already paid for the read that told me to send you there, so it stays with me.

Do you keep my case confidential?

Yes, within stated limits. Intake goes over HTTPS to a managed database that encrypts data at rest and is filed under a short reference rather than your legal name. It is not end-to-end encrypted: I can read it, and the hosting and database providers' systems process it in plaintext. The form asks for a first name or handle, an email, a category, and a short description — nothing more. Thornwork deletes declined, withdrawn, and incomplete intake records from its active database 30 days after the decision; a request I have not decided within 30 days of receiving it is marked incomplete and deleted in the same pass — 30 days total, not 60. A limited, provider-controlled recovery history may retain recoverable copies for up to six additional hours. No online system can promise absolute deletion from every backup, log, or lawful provider record. The full text is in the Privacy Notice. Nothing from your intake or working goes to marketing, essays, social media, or anyone outside the processors named in the Privacy Notice. One limit I will not paper over: I am not a lawyer or a priest, and a court can compel records. If that ever happens, I tell you unless the law forbids it. If I ever write about a case type, it is scrubbed past recognition and I ask first for anything that could point at you.

What shows up on my bank statement?

A plain business name. Not Thornwork, not ritual, not my trade. The invoice itself comes from Stripe to the email you gave me; ask for the discreet line item and it reads Consultation services with your reference number and nothing else. That is all I control. I cannot control who reads your statement. If anyone else can see your card or bank activity, pay from something they cannot see: your own card, a prepaid card bought with cash, or a bank account in your name alone. All three work. If none of them is possible for you right now, tell me in the intake; we will sort the order of operations before any charge posts.

Do you take clients under 18?

No. Services are for adults, eighteen and over. I do not take cases from minors and I do not take cases aimed at children.

What if I am in danger right now?

Then this page is the wrong page for tonight. Call 911. Domestic violence: 1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788. Suicide or crisis: call or text 988. This desk is read by one person on business days and is not monitored for emergencies. When you are safe, come back and we will talk about the rest.

Can a court make you hand over my case record?

It can try, and I have no privilege to stand behind — I am not your lawyer or your clergy. I keep records lean for that reason, I do not store case files in the website database, and if I am ever compelled I tell you unless the law forbids it. Put nothing in writing to me that you could not stand to see read aloud.

What's your refund policy?

Workings I cast (Case Desk): the $75 intake fee is non-refundable in all cases — no exceptions. It pays for my time reading and divining on your case, and I keep it whether I take the working or decline. The ritual fee is separate: if I decline the case at divination it is never charged; if I deviate from your written protocol without your consent, you receive a full refund of the ritual fee once the discrepancy is shown; once a working is complete, no ritual fee refund.

Design cases (Design Desk): the $75 fit-check divination is required up front and non-refundable in all cases — same rule as the working intake. The tier fee ($225 Tier A / $475 Tier B) is invoiced only after the fit-check clears and follows a graduated refund window: full refund if you cancel before the ninety-minute consult call; 50% refund if you cancel after the consult but before written protocol delivery; no refund after protocol delivery. If the delivered protocol materially misrepresents what we agreed on the call and I refuse to correct it in the one revision pass, full refund of the tier fee.

Full terms are stated in your case record before any tier fee or ritual fee is charged.

Do you take on new practitioners as students?

Not right now. My teaching capacity is committed to writing books that can teach at scale. When I open mentorship again, it will be announced through my author list, not here.

How is this different from Etsy witches?

Etsy and Fiverr sellers charge $25 for a "custom curse" they'll ship you in three days. Volume business. No divination, no protocol, no case record, no vetting, no follow-up, no verification of the practitioner, and no consent framework for anyone represented in the working. Some of those sellers are real; most are not. Thornwork is slower, more expensive, and worth it because you get a professional practitioner with a documented paper trail and a written case record you can point to years later.

What if I'm skeptical or brand new to this?

Then the consultation ($150, one hour, video call) is the right first step. You get an honest read on your situation, a straight answer about whether ritual is even the right tool, and — if it is — clarity on what a working would look like. No sales pressure. If magic isn't the right frame for your problem, I'll say so and send you home with practical advice.
